On December 16, we visited the earthquake memorial museum and disaster prevention warehouse at Higashimatsushima City. It was a precious opportunity for us to learn many sad stories of people's experiences in the earthquake 11 years ago in the Northeast part of Japan. Meanwhile, we also learnt many new initiatives which aim at revitalizing this city in the reconstruction. These new practices bring hopes and encourages local people to rebuild their lives with sustainability and resilience.
12月16日、東松島市内の震災記念館と防災倉庫の施設を見学しました。 11年前の東北地方太平洋沖地震で被災された方々の悲しい体験談をたくさん知ることができた貴重な機会でした。また、復興に向けた新たな取り組みもたくさん教えていただきました。これらの新しい取り組みは、地域の人々に希望をもたらし、持続可能性とレジーレンスをもって自分たちの生活を再建することを促しています。
