Between Feb.19 and Feb. 25, I was pleased to join a research team to visit local universities in Taiwan to explore their initiatives of internationalization. Facing to the similar challenges as many Japanese local universities, local universities in Taiwan have been taking active actions to respond to the demand for internationalization from both local and national needs and pressure. How to integrate education and research into local revitalization within the framework of internationalization has been receiving attention. And it is meaningful to conduct research to interpret these initiatives and its connections with internationalization and local/regional revitalization.
