I was very pleased to serve as moderator in the Global Webinar Series 2020 hosted by the Graduate School of Education, Tohoku University.
On June 20, 2020, we were honored to invite scholars from universities in East Asia to share their experiences in responding to the impact of the COVID-19 on higher education as well as their insights of the future of higher education in Asia after the COVID-19. Speakers all agreed to strengthen collaboration to share education resources and know-how to promote higher education in Asia-Pacific region.
On June 27, 2020, we gave focus on inclusive quality education in K-12 education in this webinar. Speakers from UNESCO Bangkok Office, East China Normal University, local educational administrator from the Philippines, local teacher from high school in Sendai, and scholar from Tohoku University shared their experiences and observation on responses to the COVID-19 at global, local, and school level. Also, presenters shared their opinions on the balance of online-education and on-site education for inclusive quality education.
On July 4, we were pleased to have professors and students of AELC participating universities in East Asia. Presenters shared their experiences of teaching and learning on-line.
