It was my honor to be invited by Department of Education, Beijing Normal University to share experience of higher education for sustainable development in Tohoku University at the Global Dialogue Education in the Shared World on November 27, 2020.
It was a previous opportunity to learn from Dr. Zhiyong Zhu and Ms. Ge Li about Education for Sustainable Development in China's Education policy. Based on different social development stage and context, discourses on ESD and SDGs are very different between China and Japan. It would be an interesting comparative study to see the similarities and differences in promotion of ESD and SDGs between Japanese higher education institutes and Chinese higher education institutions in the future.
