AEL 2022 Winter Course Pre-study Session 3: Discussion on Double Reduction Policy in China

Double Reduction Policy in China which was launch last year has been receiving a rise of concern and discussion globally! Today, in the 3rd session of pre-study of AEL 2022 Winter Course, we were pleased to welcome Prof. Shuangye Chen, Professor of Faculty of Education, East China Normal University, to share her insight and experience of The ongoing reform of reducing students’ burden in compulsory education in China. 21 students from Tohoku University, Korea University, Nanjing Normal University, National Chengchi University joined this session! After Prof. Chen’s talk, participants were divided into four groups to share their opinions on this reform and other relevant issues! It was an inspiring session for all participants to enhance our understanding of the complexity of policy making and implementation to deal with such wicked problems!
